A private cabin perched high above Muir Valley, offering one of the most breathtaking views in the Red River Gorge. This unforgettable retreat is perfectly situated for nature lovers, adventurers, and climbers alike. Watch climbers ascend the iconic Bibliothek Wall right from The Grotto, the cabin’s incredible cliffside hangout space, or step outside and hike directly into Muir Valley from your front door.
Inside, enjoy excellent WiFi, two smart TVs, a modern fully equipped kitchen, and a luxurious walk-in shower with full-size washer/dryer. Outside, relax in the Nordic hot tub, play a round of disc golf, or gather around the fire pit as the sun sets over the valley. Hemlocks Over Muir is a cabin you’ll want to return to again and again.

Built in 2020, this beautiful 850 sq. ft. cabin offers modern comfort with rustic charm. Every bed features plush memory foam mattresses for a restful night’s sleep. The kitchen is fully updated with soapstone countertops, a convection oven, dishwasher, and everything you need for cooking inside or grilling outdoors.
Step onto the partially covered back porch for outdoor dining, or head down the stairs to The Grotto—a spacious natural ledge with a cave, carved into the hillside. Relax on the swing, take in sweeping views of the valley, and listen to the nearby waterfall. In the evenings, gather at The Grotto’s fire pit for s’mores and stargazing. With acres to roam and the sound of Hatton Hollow waterfall below, you may never want to leave.

Dogs permitted (max 2) with a $50 pet fee; dogs must be crated if left alone.
No events, parties, or large gatherings.

Pet Policy
Only dogs are allowed and only in designated pet-friendly cabins. Pets must be paid for during booking. Bringing pets into non-pet-friendly cabins or failing to disclose them will result in a minimum $350 fee per pet.
Important Notes
Cabins are located in heavily wooded, remote areas. Weather and power outages may occur and are outside host control.
Hot tubs are maintained regularly, but mechanical issues may arise that cannot be immediately repaired. Refunds are not provided for hot tub downtime as noted in the rental agreement.
Cancellation Policy:
$50 cancellation fee applies to all cancellations.
No refunds within 14 days of check-in.
No refunds for holiday bookings (New Year’s, Valentine’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.).
Trip insurance is available for guests seeking refund flexibility.
Winter weather does not qualify for refunds—come enjoy a cozy snowed-in adventure! Late checkouts may be permitted if roads are hazardous.
